Date/time (local) | Latitude | Longitude | Notes |
07/01/23 05:29:52 | 47.6941 | -63.7210 | Possible RW upcall (unclassified) in P4; it is mid-amplitude, well isolated, and
has a good, upsweeping shape. |
07/01/23 05:44:52 | 47.6933 | -63.7196 | Two classified RW upcalls in P9 & 11, however, they are both very low amplitude,
short-duration, and have small artifacts, so neither has a very convincing shape,
which makes it difficult to tell whether they are genuine right whale calls. |
07/01/23 14:29:52 | 47.6977 | -63.6544 | One classified RW upcall in P3, however, it is very short-duration and does not
have a convincing shape, so it is difficult to tell whether it could be a genuine
right whale call. |
07/01/23 18:14:52 | 47.6788 | -63.6126 | One classified RW upcall in P10, however, it is low amplitude, short-duration,
lacks a convincing shape, and looks likely to just be attributable to background
noise. |
07/01/23 22:14:52 | 47.6687 | -63.5702 | One classified RW upcall in P15, however, it has a prominent artifact, so it is
difficult to tell if its shape is truly indicative of a right whale. There is
another possible unclassified call in P14, but it is very low amplitude and short-
duration, so could potentially just be attributable to background noise. |
07/01/23 23:14:52 | 47.6658 | -63.5616 | One classified RW upcall in P9, but although it is mid-amplitude (which
distinguishes it from nearby background noise), it has an artifact that distorts
its shape and makes it difficult to tell whether it is a genuine right whale call.
However, there is a second call in the same panel that, although unclassified, is
high amplitude and has a tell-tale upcall shape, indicating likely right whale
presence. |
